The channel portion of the card didn't want to actually be a spell - By making channel an activated ability rather than an alternate mana cost, the Saviors team allowed the channel cards to do several things
Costing three ink or totally free if sung by a character costing three ink or more Let the Storm Rage On isnt especially impressive, but it is incredibly useful regardless of the deck youre running with
There's no doubt that Deadly Rollick is a fair bit more powerful, but Snuff Out does have the upside of not requiring your commander to be on the battlefield in order to cast it for its alternate cost
If you then reach the eight counter threshold, you get basically a second hand, with the stuff in your graveyard suddenly available to return to the fray
Despite being a little polar I do like the security of this card and will fairly happily play it
