It allows shorter barrels of 10" or greater to be made. The muzzle end is threaded and accepts all Stella Barrel tip designs (Including Apex adapter). The use of a Bird Cage tip will make a barrel of overall length approx 11", a 16" Arrowhead tip will make an overall barrel length of just over 12".
