Bob Summers re-wrote the script on the rod since the original script by Paul Young had faded due to contact with bug spray

Seat and rod shafts are my usual spar varnish

Garrison-style grip 5 1/2" in length with only light soiling

Red leather bound

Art certainly fished the rod extensively as is evident in the photos

Orvis Madison 7' 4-5wt Bamboo Rod 5 Weight Bob Summers re-wrote the scriptFor sale here is an impregnated Orvis Madison 7' 4 5wt 2 1 bamboo rod with a labeled weight of 3 oz. Serial #79793 made in 1976. The rod is in excellent+ condition. It shows only slight wear having been fished sparingly. Both sections are full length and straight save a very slight set in the butt section. Caramel wraps and bright guides. The rod has resorcinol glue lines, a look many like very much. The script remains as it was the day it was written
