Not only is a 3/5 with double strike really beefy to start out with, but it pays you off by drawing you cards just for making tokens and even has a built-in ability to make tokens by itself
Thats because instead of paying the mana cost for spells you cast, you can instead Collect Evidence 10
Loot, the Pathfinder Im not dismissing any card that can enter the battlefield, attack, and draw three cards later
That's what made Thirst special: unlike Frozen Solid and Dehydration, it tapped the creature RIGHT NOW, taking it out of combat for as long as you're willing to pay a blue mana
though thats far below the value of the D23 promo version of Mickey Mouse, Brave Little Tailor, its certainly not cheap
Basically, you can pay a spell's Plot cost on one turn to exile it, then cast it (at sorcery speed) on another turn for free
