There is a bit of matrix on some of the stones. See the pictures for details. They are unsorted so there is a small quantity of other stones or tiny pieces of wood in the stones. These stones are wonderful to use in a dish, art project, or as a display for other crystals or items. Rhodochrosite occurs as a hydrothermal vein mineral along with other manganese
