Sure, there are some exceptions, but I like dressing up because I rarely leave an event feeling too formal but there are PLENTY of times when I have felt too casual
If you want to style this top in a more "dressy casual" manner, you could wear it with wide leg pants (in dark blue or black!) or even with denim (if you're headed out afterwards or your office has a Casual Friday dress code)
