1 North Star, large Plate ON is inspired by memoriesThis is the quintessential Canadian jewellery as it is literally made from a piece of Canada! Wendy repurposes granite core samples of the Canadian Shield (i. e. stone that has been drilled from deep in the earth by mining companies). She cuts thin slices on a diamond saw to reveal the unique mineral face of each piece. She then wraps the piece with sterling silver wire and paints on trees with black ink.
