This particular copy is a very old and well known copy, but the medal is a very good quality reproduction, appears to be die struck, but pitted on the rear so likely copper, or another toned base metal rather than bronze. It is named to; 8731 SJT. T. PATTISON, 2 R. W. FUS. The 8731 service number in the 2nd Royal Welsh Fusiliers belonged to Peter Pattison, a DCM holder, who was killed
