One problem faced by this card is his middle of the road nature, in the most hardcore combo decks that wan't an effect like this they will probably opt for the more robust Helm of Awakening and in the decks being more aggressive they will either elect for a better ramp card or a better threat

The new Alice, Accidentally Adrift has an ability that can reduce the Strength of one opposing Character by 2 upon questing and this can be definitely reduce the risk for your Characters to be banished
