The exact reason for this isn't 100% clear, but my theory is that when a card like Solemn Simulacrum, Sol Ring, or Cyclonic Rift gets reprinted, the very act of reprinting increases the demand for the card (apparently enough to outweigh the increase in supply)
Often, figuring out when you have a good attack relies on a mathematical analysis of the damage you'll do versus damage you'll receive
Also, like no mana dorks, so good luck going off with Evangelize and, like, Marble Diamond
