The whole reason Im writing this review is because I love the game dearly and was just looking for an excuse to rant or rave (it could go either way) about the new set once it came out
You can make some powerful plays with that and I can see some sort of combo deck that tries to take advantage of this
There are some pretty expensive Equip costs in the Limit Break Final Fantasy deck for MTG , such as Colossus Hammer (it requires 8 mana), so being able to Equip it for free, and at Instant speed can change the course of combat, for example
Dark Ritual allows you to take advantage of drawing multiple cards a turn back during the black summer of Magic , it wasn't unusual to see a player drawing 4-5 cards a turn every turn of the game using Necropotence to fuel their crazed game of "holy cow, is this for real?" No other card in Magic has allowed a player to draw so many cards turn after turn so cheaply
The Team Clearly Wants to Honor the Entire Franchise Prior sets have shown that the WotC creative team is dedicated to each franchise and IP they get the privilege to work on
But this is still incredible
